Frequently Asked Questions
No, we don’t bill insurance or third parties—and that’s intentional. Our care is based on a simple, monthly fee structure. This allows us the freedom to offer longer visits, deeper conversations, and a more personalized experience without the red tape or rushed appointments insurance often
requires.
By removing the administrative burden of insurance billing, we can focus entirely on what matters most—your care. It also means more time with your doctor, clearer pricing, and a better experience for everyone. When we’re not buried in paperwork, we get to practice medicine the way we were trained to: with time, thoughtfulness, and trust.
Your membership includes direct access to your physician, longer appointments, personalized care plans to optimize hormones, manage weight and secure messaging between visits. You’ll also receive ongoing lifestyle support and four InBody body composition scans per year to help track your progress.
Additional services—such as labs, imaging, or medications—are offered at
transparent, discounted prices but are not included in the membership fee.
*Please Note: Sakinah Health does not act as your primary care physician (PCP), but will work closely with your doctor to ensure complete and collaborative care!
No, I do not function as your primary care provider.
At Sakinah Health, my care is focused specifically on hormone optimization, weight management, metabolic health, and sustainable lifestyle change. Concentrating on these areas allows me to give you more time, deeper guidance, and highly personalized support.
While improving these factors often leads to better control of other chronic conditions, I still encourage all patients to maintain a separate primary care provider for chronic disease management, urgent issues, and any needs outside my specialty focus. I’m always happy to collaborate with your PCP to make sure your care stays complete and well-coordinated.
We also offer a one-time Comprehensive Wellness Evaluation for those exploring their options before joining. This visit includes a detailed review of your medical history, lab orders and results review, and a discussion of a personalized plan tailored to your goals.
It’s ideal for those who want to see what Sakinah Health is all about, or for individuals who already have a primary care physician but want expert guidance on hormone optimization, weight management, or lifestyle wellness.
Many members are typically able to use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for direct primary care memberships, but eligibility can vary depending on your plan and how your HSA/FSA administrator interprets IRS rules.
Starting January 1, 2026, new federal rules are scheduled to take effect which should allow use of your HSA/FSA funds to be used towards DPC memberships. Talk to your accountant about your specific HSA/FSA plan details.
At this time, Medicare rules do not allow me to see or enroll Medicare patients in my clinic. If you have Medicare and would like to join in the future, you can sign up for our Medicare Waiting List, and we’ll notify you as soon as enrollment opens.
